Horsemanship Camps
Southmowing kids horsemanship camps embrace all things horsey - from grooming to riding to games. Join other horse-crazy kids for a series of equestrian adventures, games and silliness in our beautiful Vermont setting.
Horse Work for Artists
Our horse work for performance artists series incorporates groundwork and vaulting, equine body language and body mechanics. In these workshops, artists learn greater awareness of nonverbal communication, clarity of intent, and centering.

School Programs
Our instructors work consistently with several local schools, whose equestrian teams and horse enthusiasts travel to Southmowing for regular lessons on our school horses. Contact us to set up a riding program for your school.
Game Days
We hold regular mounted and in-hand game days for current lesson students, boarders and lessors, as well as local partner stables. Come to Southmowing for musical stalls, giant soccer, egg-and-spoon races, and other classics.

LGBTQ Nights
Our LGBTQ night series invites community members to learn about horse behavior and share social time around our fire pit. Join us for horse social hour, learn grooming and equine communication, and enjoy sunset-watching and s'mores.
First Aid for Equestrians
Do you know how to respond to a serious fall? What would you do if a rider was injured on the trail, far from cell phone service? This workshop teaches emergency injury assessment, problem solving, and planning for continuing care for equestrian injuries.
